This Speaker Series was designed to examine the role of emerging media and new technology on the exploration and articulation of topics focusing on the many facets of food. the series will be hosting artists, farmers, architects, curators, and historians whose work and research focus on how technology has mediated our relationship to food. The amazing line-up of speakers spoke about the ways in which they are using models of sustainability, social networking, and emerging technologies to influence (and hopefully change) our tightly veiled food production systems, the realm of gastronomy and the food that we eat.

It was a companion to the class Food + Emerging Media that I developed at The University at Buffalo in spring 2010.
